The Guajira

The Guajira  is  a departament known   for it is great deserts. Even thoughn it is a great beauty, it is dry desert has been affecting the temperature  and the people  living in it. If has been a problem growing grently  causing  many deaths because the supplies that need  to get there  have not  been able  to make it. The life  of many children has been affected to the  point of death, it is very sad that  the problem  is still growing and the government  has not done much to  help  they shoould have the necessary resorcues  just as any other person  in any part of the country, if  nothing is done now  the numbers of death will only keeep growing,

According to video or guajira I think taht the problems known for a lot of people about drought that cause needs. people live in Guajira, thay supply for their needs, how for example, water for animals, for feed in general for personals things. AAlso this fact of drought affect the animals how for example cows, because the principal  drinking  fountain for this animals is drink water, it´s the most important nthing for them. In differents places of colombian some company take advantage of new ideas how for example, oil extraction also people have responsability because they do wastefulness of water, so people and companys have  problems , because they save water taht is very important for all and that the natural resources is neccesary protect for prevent future problems.

Why is there water scarcity in La Guajira?

In La Guajira there is scarcity water, because is a desert an there is few people in the majority are indigenous. On the other hand, Colombians government don't help them without water, without food. nevertheless, many families had been locking for water in wells. Even though they had been trying of save animal's life and children's life, too.

What can we do to save water and protect the environment in Colombia?
Some possibilities to take care of the environment are; protecting animals, recycling, avoiding the cut of trees, decreasing the waste of water, and avoiding the pollution in the streets.

'LA GUAJIRA' needs us!

I think one of the reasons of the scarcity in La Guajira is because there have been people who have failed to manage the resources of the department. Also many companies extraction of oil continue doing at that place. In La Guajira not only there scarcity, there is also poverty and malnutrition and these are also reasons why many people die every day. To combat this crisis, we can begin to recycle water from our homes. When we take a shower, brush our teeth, wash our clothes and clean our house we can do it without wasting water. In this way we can help many people and also the environment.

Why is there water scarcity in La Guajira?

First is the weather, because it changes and this affect indigenous and animals. La Guajira is to close to Africa countries where died little children. In 2015, 35 died children. This is hard news, the water is so important, you need to drink water if you want to live.

What can we do to save water and protect the environment in Colombia?

Everybody can be a change, it doesn´t if you´re in the city, you can help.

Why is there water scarcity in la Guajira?

There are several causes why in La Guajira there is not water. The first cause is because La Guajira is a deserted area where the water is scare. On another hand, in this area there is a very small population and the most of population are indigenous, and the government does not pay attention to this area because in Colombia the indigenous are discriminated and they do not have the same benefits that us. This are some causes but there are many more.

What can we do to save water and protect the environment in Colombia?

We must not waste water when we are brushing us teeth, bathing or washing anything. Also we must not pollute the water with chemical or any other substance that harms the water. Furthermore, People have to know that water is an important resource that we must care, and there are many people that die because they do not have water and they would like to have our great benefit that is the water.

My opinion is that people must be more aware that the water.it could be scare in the future and we have to conserve our great resource that is water.

WHY IS THERE  WATER SCARCITY IN LA GUAJIRA?
Exist some reasons why La Guajira has scarcity of water and the only one isn't "The phenomenon of child" because the history of Caribbean region in Colombia have some factors that affected this region and currently they suffer scarcity.

The mining and agricultural industries have been an essential factor because they have contaminated the water sources in La Guajira. Some natives have had to leave of places like Caracolí, Manantial, Oreganal, Tabaco and some others. Water has pollute and has been disappearing for coal extraction. And finally, they have removed "sterile material", when this sterile material have contact with water or air produce dangerous chemicals that polluter the environment, in especial, water sources.


WHAT CAN WE DO TO SAVE WATER AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT IN COLOMBIA?
I think, the only way to fix this very serious problem is that the Government ends work extraction, gives necessary assistance to people there and they undertake to protect water and people there.

Why is there water scarcity in La Guajira?

There are many reasons about wáter scarcity in La Guajira.
One these are the government diverted the river,
Other reason is oil companies, I mean they use the water for get more oil.
I think that other reason is the climate change In La Guajira hasn't rained for several months.

What can we do to save water and protect the environment in Colombia?

I think that we can make different adds. I mean we can do campaing about it, also we have to save water because there are people that waste the water while take a shower or brush their teeth and other things.

I propose that we have to save water and send it to La Guajira.
In addition we should think in send food to this place. because in this place there aren't food and the indigenous people are die.

About the video I have to say that is so sad how people in our country are suffering the consecuences of a bad manipulation of water.  But more than that is sad that the goverment takes care of many things but no of this situation because there are helps and goverment subsidies but that is not enough!. Children are died in La Guajira because the lack of water, and the bad alimentation because isn't a secret that food isn't enough also. - I've listened something about that because the culture or costums men eat first than children and even first than women- and that's injust.

To save water the best option that we have (here) is to be careful about how much longer do I spend when I take a shower, also about how many times I flush the toilet. Also to water the plants at night and not in the afternoon. - I don't know if it's correct to say this but I think it's important to help others (in this specific case La Guajira) so... I think in  la Guajira there is scarcity because Columbian government permits that many companies extract oil and I think that si the major cause of  drought in la Guajira. Despite in Guajira, there are many people living including many indigenous the government does not care them. nevertheless, I have listened on the news that  recently the government is creating new projects to help those people which are suffering because there is not enough water. but that help is not enough. There are many things that we can do to save water. You can take a quick bath less than 5 minutes also you can close the water tap when you are washing your teeth and many others things. On the other hand,we can protect the environment in Colombia doing many things  we should stop littering, we can to reduce the use of plastic. you can do many thigs to help the environment just if you want. Finally, I think everyone should become conscious that our inventions are  harming the environment and we have all tools to stop it.

Why is there water scarcity in La Guajira?

La Guajira that we know for its beautiful landscapes has had many changes and one in especially is scarcity water and this is caused by people because are very few people who care about protecting the environment but this is caused also by the corruption and the drought because in this last 3 years hasnt rained and as a result many childs and animals have died.

What can we do to save water and protect the environment in Colombia?

I think that we need recycle the water for example we should avoid leaving the tap open when we wash our hands and teeth, also we should take a short shower, dont throw the garbage in the street and the most important we need respect the nature.

 WHY IS THERE WATER SCARCITY?

I thik about the scarcity  is terrible because everybody need a  lot of water to survive and water is the most important resource in our life. Also water is scarcity for guilt of human because we contaminate the environment. Above all we don't understant that we have recycle for example cardboard, paper, piece of glass, and plastic. On the other hand almost everyone contaminate rivers with different types of trash and these are the water source. In some cases  many people are more interested in the oil  extraction and they don't  think about  people's needs. Because of that, almost all animals have been died, the  food go up price and vegetables and fruits don't grow up faster correctly to scarcity.

WHAT CAN WE DO TO SAVE WATER AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT IN COLOMBIA? 

It's something that we  need to practice and we be aware of the environment destruction. Each person putting into practice such as easy as recycling and we have to take care of the rivers because these are a natural resource where we can get water when there is scarcity. We need to make awareness about pollution and doesn't damage the environment. ¡THE FUTURE IS IN OUR HANDS!

Bambuco Dance

Bambuco is a dance and a musical genre from Colombia, considered one of the most representative of the country. Bambuco is a dance where the couple is loving.

It has a taste of countryside, descriptive, romantic and sometimes nostalgic, but also has been widely used to express the pride and haughtiness for land and race.

This musical genre was generated in Colombia, where it flourished in several regions such as Antioquia, Boyaca, Cauca, Cundinamarca, Huila, Nariño, Los Santanderes, Risaralda and Tolima and also crossed borders to Peru, Ecuador and Mexico.

Forotas' Dance
 Tris dance is presented in the Barranquilla's carnival, and is about in that  thirteen men dress with typical suits' women to take revenge on conqueror for violating their women . It is also called to take revenge's indigenous.

JOROPO

The Joropo is a musical style resembling the fandango, and an accompanying dance. It has African Native South American and European influences and originated in the plains called "Los Llanos" of what is now Venezuela and Colombia. It is a fundamental genre of música criolla. Also the most popular folk rhythim, "Alma Llanera" is a joropo song. In the 18th century the llaneros started the world "joropo" instead of the word "fandango", which was the word used at the time for party and dance. I think that joropo dance is happy and way of expresing free for our country, it dance is beautiful and important symbol and our identity like colombian people.

I'm going to talk about gospel music. I chose this kind of music because is my fav and at the same time this kind of music involves other music genres like Country music, rock, pop, ska, folk, To name a few. I'm going to name just three of my favorite gospel bands, (Some of them -I mean, the genre- are already mencioned for some of you guys).

I going to tell about dance bachata
Bachata is a style of dance that originated in the Dominica republic. It  is danced widely all over the world but not identically.
the basics to the dance are three-dance with  a cuban hip motion, followed by a tap including  a hip movement on the 4th beat. the kness should  be slightty bent so the oerformer can sway the hips easier. the moviement of ther hips is very important because it´s a poart of the soul of the dance. generally most of the danvers movement is in the nlower body up to the hips and the opper body moves much less.
I likethis type of music because the movements and the differents feeling  to show in a stage. Also, I like  this music to rhythm that produce every things in our minds and sometimes hearts.

SKA
I going to write about ska , it`s not a typical dance or music from colombia but is a diferent kind a music.
ska is a genre that originated in Jamaica in the late 1950s, ska combined several elements of reggae, caribean mento, american jazz and rhythm and blues, I think it sound very well, this genre is very active and lively.ska dance is fun and mad. also, I think that it kind of music is original and this expresses happines and fredom, really I like it. my favorite bands are ska-p, skalariak, reel big fish.yesterday I read about story of ska in colombia began the process of defining ska further more since those days the ska began its process and in the rock al parque began to be known new ska groupings

Trova Paisa 

Trova Paisa is a style originating of department Antioquia in Colombia. It consists of a sung, rhymed verses and improvised between two contenders.

Trova paisa is characterized as an easy, simple, binary or tertiary music rhythm. the most important of the Trova paisa is the lyric, express humor and the creativity.

On March 23, 2002 was declared Trova like artistic, social and cultural heritage of Medellin.

I think the Trova Paisa is a way of express our opinions, and also expresses the character of the people Paisa as their way of being, living,and laugh.

VALLENATO

 Is a popular folk music of Colombia. It primarily comes from the Colombia's Caribbean region.Vallenato literally means "born in the valley". The origin was in Spain and West African. In this countries this music was only form of entertainment during these trips was singing and playing guitars or indigenous gaita flutes, known as kuisis in the Kogi language, and their form of transmitting their news was by singing their messages. Vallenato can change your moon, maybe you feel happy or sad. So you have to be care,  is a excellent music but dangerous.

Currulao 

Currulao is a dance afrocolombian communities of the pacific cost. this dance is danced loosely. In addition  this dance can be expressed in a loving way and ritual nature. the movements of the dancers are agile and vigorous, also men dancers  show movements strenght and woman dace of way slow and calm of desires of his partner.

    I think  this dance is interesting. because the dancers show an ancient dance and that this dance can´t be forgotten, also the movements of this dance are very amazing because they stopm around of stage, so this dance reflects a part of the history of Afrocolombians  than can´t be discared.
  in a future I´d like to learn this dance because it´s funny. 

BACHATA.
This kind of music comes from Dominican Republic. Bacgata dance began in the 50's. It's belived this dance has it's origin on othrer dances such  as Boleros, pasillo and cuba's dances.At the beginning bachata music was colled "boleros de guitarra".
The bachata was developing in the Santo Domingo' pubs in adiction other thing which is really interesting is thta bachata music was colled "musica de amargue".
In the 80's the bachata arrived to the media besides one of the most representative singer of that age was Juan Luis Guerra who is a really good bachata's singer.
About Colombia it was Juan Luis who brought bachata music to Colombia. Becouse his songs started to plays in Colombia.
Now about what i think about bachata music, I think it's really wonderful, I certainly love to dance bachata and of course I love to listen these kind of music.
there are many singers which I like. bat there is one in particular that I really like. He is Romeo Santos.

COLOMBIAN ANDEAN MUSIC

In Colombia, the term "Andean Music" refers to one set of musical genres of the municipalities located in the Andes Mountains. Colombian Andean Music have a lot of variations such as: PASILLOS, BAMBUCOS, GUABINAS, TORBELLINOS and ESPAÑOLAS. Colombian Andean Music is based on the following instruments: Guitar, Tiple and Bandola. Sometimes, it is confused with music of strings.

Reggae Music 

is a music that originated in Jamaica in the 1960s. The term also denotes the modern popular music of Jamaica. Reggae usually relates news, social gossip, and political comment also reggae incorporates some of the musical elements of rhythm, blues, jazz,The base sound in reggae are thick and heavy. Finally Reggae spread to many countries around the world and actually reggae is associated with religious ceremonies Rastafarian culture.




I think about Raggae music that is really important because you can show many things for example when you are in love, you are sad, you are happy and also many problems about the world like politics, cultures.

I really like this music because you can feel relaxing, and meditate about many things. These sounds show an absolute truth.
